Geophones by HGS Products
HGSI manufactures sensor products such as geophones, cables and connectors in two production facilities in India and will market its products through HGS Products. Main markets for HGS Products in Europe are the Netherlands, Germany, Norway and Switzerland. They used to market their products in Europe via a joint venture partner and this year HGSI decided to set up their own subsidiary in the Netherlands. This subsidiary, HGS Products B.V., will be the Marketing & Sales office in Europe. The next step is setting up R&D facilities in cooperation with amongst others the TU Delft, TNO and companies in the region to develop a new generation geophones.
“Within half a year HGS Products B.V. has been able to establish itself as the preferred supplier for quality geophones in the market of small seismic surveys and vibration monitoring”, says CEO Louis Rademakers. “A large number of high-end engineering companies and mining associations around the globe have identified HGS Products as the primary supplier of tailor made geophones and sensors for vibration monitoring and machine condition monitoring. The collaboration between the engineering teams of our customers and our dedicated staff in both the Netherlands and India has resulted in a broadening product portfolio and a list of new products that we need to work on in the near future. With the official opening of our The Hague office we emphasize our intentions to be a long term partner to our esteemed customers in this specialized field of Industry.”
