Acrodis Europe, a Russian ICT software company with a focus on improving musea and event experiences, has been serving clients in the Dutch market since the fall of 2013. In October 2014, Acrodis was asked to showcase and implement its powerful digital event platform at two big events in our region: Art The Hague and The Hague TECH.
Acrodis Europe creates and develops tailor-made IT solutions for the cultural sector. It has more than 25 projects, of varying scales, built around the concept of “Smart Information” in its portfolio and is active on projects meant to modernize established museums or to build them from scratch.
The goal is to provide its clients with conveniently accessible, immediate and relevant information, in order to save them time and effort. By offering such personalized data, Acrodis is able to create a stream of marketing information for its clients, helping them increase attendance and satisfaction levels, or boost sales.
Acrodis’ products are widely used in different environments – from state-level musea and smaller galleries to trade fairs and professional exhibitions. It mainly focusses on the following areas:
• Exhibitions and professional conferences;
• Tourism and cultural activities;
• Leisure and recreation
In October, Acrodis provided full information support using its powerful IT-platform to two significant events in our region: the Hague Tech (showcase of tech companies) and Art the Hague (exhibition of modern art).
Art The Hague
For Art the Hague, Acrodis created and launched “Art Space”, a permanent online extension of the exhibition, showcasing participating galleries and its art to the public. The platform includes hundreds of art objects by collaborating with 50+ galleries to make it a truly convenient and useful tool. Visitors of the exhibition could scan unique QR-codes near displayed pieces of art for quick and easy access to specific web-pages, where they could read additional information and “save” that particular object to a personal list of favorites. The plan for Art Space is to make it a “national-level business hub for communication and deal-making among museum professionals, collectors and art galleries with support of different fairs and exhibitions in the Netherlands”.
The Hague TECH
During The Hague Tech, Acrodis implemented its event platform technology to showcase to all participating companies at the conference. Visitors of the Hague TECH could also conveniently access all relevant information regarding the event, participants and their activities via our dedicated online platform before and during the fair. By scanning QR-codes at the venue they got quick access to contacts and communication tools for easier networking. All platform collaborators could later receive statistics on how many times their codes were scanned, web-pages visited etc.
The Acrodis Europe team has considerable experience in implementing practical and specific solutions for musea and galleries, from local improvements to complete overhauls. The team is currently working on modernizing several established museums and on building a new one from scratch. Through its products and services for museums it always strives to craft a memorable story and deliver a personalized cultural experience to every visitor.
“We have chosen the Netherlands and the WestHolland area for establishing our European headquarters, because of the highly international appeal of the region, access to skilled workforce and close proximity to all major European business hubs. The WFIA was instrumental in assisting our company at all stages of the process, considerably reducing time and efforts required to start operational activities.
We are always on the lookout for prospective projects, be it information support for events and conferences, modernization of galleries and museums or the creation of new products / solutions for the tourism industry.
